Michael Barrett – Eye See You

Eye See You

Something fabulous touched me deep inside when we watched the movie, “Avatar” particularly when Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) said,

“I SEE YOU.”

There is much to be said in favor of being recognized, being identified as who you are and by being able to receive that recognition fully.

In order to be seen in the context of Neytiri’s (and her culture’s) vision, we must allow ourselves to be fully available and vulnerable to being seen, to let our walls down and to expose the “nakedness” of who we really are inside.

When we see another from the heart , we accept their truth and by acknowledging it we take the connection and communication to a new level of both understanding and consciousness.

This aspect of the indigenous Na’vi culture is lacking in many ways in modern society, where we often learn early in life that it is easier to get by without being seen – and in many ways – to be invisible, to lack value and recognition in spite of aptitudes or levels of accomplishment.

Eye see you also means:

“I recognize the singular expression of the Universe, of Source, that is uniquely you – and I honor that singularity.”

This is the essence of respecting both individual free will and authenticity because in the expression of our choices we exemplify our individuation – our individual-ness.

Since seeing that movie it is often something that we say to each other, “Eye see you.”

It seems to bring us closer together.

Are you willing to be seen? Allow those people in your life who are close to you say to you: “I SEE YOU,” and learn to accept what it means fully.

I AM Michael Barrett and Eye See You.
